When planning your refrigerated space, use the following design considerations as a guideline, then contact Brrr Refrigeration and we will guide you through the process:
- Shape and size of space; height of box (inside or outside dimensions)
- Location of space (indoor, outdoor)
- Use of space (freezer, cooler, combo)
- Floor needed (usually required for outdoor spaces and freezers)
- Application (meat, deli, liquor, produce, floral, beer cave, etc.)
- Load considerations – how much product; temp of product entering space, etc.
- Desired temperature(s) – Cooler typical 350F; Freezer typical -100F
- Refrigeration options (outdoor remote condenser (roof or ground mounted), indoor condenser (drop-in, side mount, top of box)
- Condensate drain location (is a pump required?)
- Remote monitoring/alarms/controls
- Available power – voltage, phase (i.e. 208-230V/3Ph/60Hz)
- Doors – Customer facing or staff entry – reach-in, pass through, cooler/freezer man doors, manual/electric sliders, roll-ups, etc.; # of doors needed; size of doors; shelves; door options (i.e. kickplates, closers, locks, hinged/slide right or left, etc.)
- Lighting requirements
- Type of finish for box, doors – smooth or stucco, white or galvanized, special coatings, etc.
- Future expansion needs
